A database site is a website where much of the content is stored in a web database.
Such a design is often used when there is a large amount of data that can be organised into tables of information.
By placing the information in a web database, the data can be displayed in a variety of ways – for example by category, in a sorted fashion, or by records that match a certain criteria.
